News and Notes...this
section covers some interesting information you can use with donors
                and prospects.
In 2006 83% of America’s said they contributed
to charity but their total giving decreased from $1,352 to $1,220.
Only 32% of US adults have a positive feeling about charitable
organizations and what is striking about the data is that the
closer Americans get in age to being those who will transfer wealth,
the less they trust the non-profits who seek to receive that wealth.
Not a good sign for planned giving. ......And while we are on
this topic American actually trust infomercial (26%) more than
they do Congress (20%) and used car salesmen (17%) score higher
                than corporate executives (13%).
On the bright side...Almost 90% of the richest Americans
say the primary reason they give to charity is they believe in
specific causes and have a desire to "give back to society"
according the the latest US Trust Survey of Affluent Americans
                released in April.
